LDS meno ir kultūros erdvė „Medūza“ su džiaugsmu pristato VDA Grafikos katedros magistrantės Elenos A. V. Reckevitz baigiamojo darbo parodą „Prasimanyti salą“. Paroda yra VDA Graduation Show 2024 dalis.
„An island offers a stage: everything that happens on it is practically forced to turn into a story, into a chamber piece in the middle of nowhere“

Pasitelkiant švelnų kartografavimo ir archyvavimo metodą pavyksta nubrėžti tris perspektyvas, mąstymo apie šiaurės salas gaires: iš viršaus, iš šono ir iš pačios salos. Jose fizinis ir emocinis salos patyrimas įmanomas tik išsineriant iš savokų ir žinojimo rėmų, pasitikint kūnu, vieta ir visais nematomais čiuptuvais. Tai tarp tikrovės ir fikcijos banguojantis patyrimas, primenantis nuolat kintantį, visada žingsniu prieš suvokimą veikiantį pasaulį. Kūnas iš objekto virsta į kūrybingo gebėjimo suprasti šaltinį.Projekto idėja yra leisti žiūrovui iš arčiau pažvelgti į kūrėjo meninį procesą, per surinktą salų archyvą patiems savo vaizduotės bei asmeninės patirties dėka prisidėti prie kūrybiško salos patyrimo, konstravimo ir apmąstymo.
Menininkė:
Elena A. V. Reckevitz (g. 1998) – lietuvių-vokiečių kilmės menininkė, Vilniaus dailės akademijos grafikos magistro studentė. 2021 m. baigusi skandinavistikos studijas Vilniuje. Pasitelkdama mokslinius salų tyrimus, lauko tyrimo praktiką, menininkė kuria instaliacijas salų tematika.

LAU Art and Culture Space “Medūza” is pleased to present the exhibition “Imagine an Island” by Elena A. V. Reckevitz, a Master’s programme student at the VAA Graphic Arts Department. Exhibition is a part of the VDA Graduation Show 2024.
“An island offers a stage: everything that happens on it is practically forced to turn into a story, into a chamber piece in the middle of nowhere“

While using a gentle method of mapping and archiving, it is possible to draw three perspectives - guidelines for thinking about the northern islands: from above, from the side, and from the island itself. In them, the physical and emotional experience of the island is achieved by stepping out of the framework of knowledge and conceptualization, trusting the body, the place, and all the invisible tentacles. It is an experience that oscillates between reality and fiction, reminiscent of a constantly changing world, which is always functioning one step ahead of our understanding. The body turns from an object into a source of creative understanding.The project allows the viewer to take a closer look at the artistic process of the creator, through the collected island archive. While being guided by their own imagination and personal experience, they contribute to the creative perception, construction, and reflection of the island.
